Honoring Our Heroes – Four-Legged & Two-Legged Community Tribute Planned in Hoffman Estates

The community is invited to attend “Honoring Our Heroes – Four-Legged & Two-Legged,” a special event recognizing local veterans, service members, and the K9 officers who help protect the community. The event will take place on March 13, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Hoffman Estates Police Department. Hosted by Right at Home Northwest Suburban and Residential Home Health & Hospice, the event will honor the service, dedication, and sacrifice of veterans, active-duty service members, and Hoffman Estates K9 officers who have served and protected the community. The program will feature a pinning ceremony honoring K9 officers, the National Anthem performed by Residential’s Music Therapy Team, and a brief presentation providing clear, practical information about VA benefits and community resources available to veterans and their families. While the event is especially meaningful for veterans and their families, members of the public are warmly invited to attend and help recognize the individuals who have served the community and the country. Light refreshments and informational materials will be available, and attendees will have the opportunity to connect with community organizations that provide services and support for veterans and their families. Organizers hope the event will both celebrate those who serve and help veterans and their families better understand the resources available to them locally. Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP in advance to help organizers prepare for the event.
