DESCRIPTION:It's hard to imagine that spring is almost in full swing but here we are starting to plan for our NEW Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF) Bridges of Poplar Creek Golf Outing to be held on Wednesday\, May 11. \n\n \n\nSLSF exists to support children and adults with disabilities through philanthropy for Northwest Special Recreation Association. SLSF is the fundraising arm of NWSRA\, a partnership of 17 park districts in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  NWSRA provides recreational opportunities to children and adults with disabilities.  To learn more about us\, please visit our website at www.slsf.me.\n\n \n\nProceeds from the Bridges of Poplar Creek Golf Outing make it possible for SLSF to provide funding to benefit the sixth NWSRA site at the Vogelei House with the Hoffman Estates Park District.  NWSRA's responsibilities for the addition of a new programming space includes creating a transition plan to be compliant with the ADA and Universal Design\, furnishing the new space\, and providing supplies and necessary adaptive equipment.  In order to provide a safe and accessible site\, construction is necessary at the Vogelei House to comply with ADA regulations and maintain a high quality of programming.
