SUMMARY:Holding Space and Living from the Soul
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop at Wellness Place\, Cancer Education and Support\, Rev. Dr. C. Scott Giles\, BCC DNGH\, (a Board Certified Chaplain and internationally-acclaimed hypnotist) will show us how he puts "Soul" into his life and uses it to overcome his own medical issues\, find the energy to do what he does\, while staying positive and open to what life may offer.  He calls this technique "Holding Space" and will teach it here.  It is a collection of philosophical and spiritual ideas drawn from the American Spiritual tradition of Emerson\, Thoreau and Whitman\, with a special focus on how to use these ideas to deal with any medical problem.  This is an inter-faith approach open to people from all faith traditions\, as well as to people who find their spirituality outside organized religions.
